Teachers Should: 1. Clearly explain rules for technology set up, usage and clean up. 2. Have a technology policy in place that includes consequences for infractions. 3. Give explicit assignment instructions before the students begin working with the technology. 4. Monitor students to keep them on task and accountable.
Students Should: 1. Respect all equipment, devices and internet privileges. 2. Only use technology when appropriate and for approved purposes. 3. Never download or change settings without permission. 4. Wait for instructions before logging in to devices. 5. Never give out personal information. 6. Learn passwords and keep them confidential. 7. Alert the teacher if you see anything inappropriate. 8. Avoid eating, drinking or chewing gum near devices. 9. Record URLs for websites used during assignments. 10. Gain permission from the teacher before printing anything.
